Etiquette

To help keep the the ice awesome and everybody happy, the club asks that you please respect the etiquette points below during your games:

NO STREET SHOES ON ICE & CLEAN CLOTHES
Only curling shoes, runners (just for curling), or grippers worn over shoes
are acceptable. You can wear any clothes you like for curling as long as
they’re clean to prevent dirt on the ice.

LIMITED TIME FOR GAME
Our games are 8 Ends and should take 2 hours. Be ready to throw your rock
when it’s your turn.

6 PM GAMES (for League players)
Every Thursday and Friday night game at 6 pm will be on the clock. You can start
earlier if you wish, but the buzzer will go off at 8 pm. You will then
finish the end you are on and do 1 more.

IN THE HOUSE
Only Skip and Third are generally allowed in the house when discussing
shots. Other members of the team should stand at the other end or at least
past the Hog Line.

CLEAR THE ICE
Stand to the sides of the ice between the Hog Lines when it’s not your
team’s turn, unless you throw next.

PRACTICE (for League players)
The ice is freshly pebbled before every game.  No practicing allowed before
Thursday / Friday night’s games.

DO NOT DISTRACT THE THROWER
Be still and quiet when a rock is being thrown on your sheet.  Do not pass
on the walkway behind a sheet when a rock is being thrown.

Thanks and enjoy the season!
