Due to the latest PHO extension prohibiting adult team sports, the KCC Board recently moved to:
– shut down the season effective last Tuesday Feb 16th,
– refund 75% of all League and Afternoon dues, and
– not refund the $20 memberships or $15 locker fees
PLEASE email kaslocurling@gmail.com after FEB 28th if you are expecting a refund but haven’t heard from us by then.
PLEASE return any club equipment that you borrowed, or you can bring in your 10-pack card for a refund during the following times:
Sat, Feb 20: 1 – 3 pm
Tue, Feb 23: 5:30 – 7 pm
Fri, Feb 26: 1 – 3 pm
Bar cards will be carried over to next season by default, but the unused portion can also be refunded this year (normally bar cards are non-refundable). Please let us know if you want that.

Of course, this is a sad but not surprising end to our season.
However, we got more curling in than a lot of clubs, and the decision to stay open this long meant our junior curlers got in their usual 12 sessions instead of just 4.
The 1 on 1 format also went over surprisingly well, running from Jan 18th to Feb 13th: 11 members rented the ice 35 times, which brought in $490 to the club. It’s definitely worth doing again even after COVID, as it’s great for people who want to work on their game without the team component and/or if they have difficulty sweeping.
Have a great spring and summer everyone, and cross your fingers that we can be back on the ice again this fall.
