Kays Scotland is the company that handcrafts Olympic Standard Curling Rocks; and
we have them at the Kaslo Curling Club!
Established in 1851, the companies long history is displayed in the office.

A club member was in Scotland for a vacation. He visited the manufactory in Mauchline, Ayrshire and got a first hand look at production.

The granite for the rocks is harvested on an Island called Ailsa Craig. The Island is a bird sanctuary and harvesting is only allowed at certain times. To see a video on the undertaking of the latest harvest, click here.
