The Kaslo 125 Funspiel was held on Saturday, February 17, 2018:

- $100 per team, included dinner for 4
- Two 4-end games (about 1.5 hours each)
- All skill levels: try curling, or introduce a friend!
- Dress as a miner or a gangster or a hippie… pick an era since 1893

Ten teams played two games of 4 ends from 11 am to just after 8 pm:
 Ace Hardware: Spencer, Jo, Lesa, Mike |
 Jones Boys Boats: Chad, Mark, Kevin, Casey, Tate, Alicia, Lex |
 Cornucopia #1: Russ, Heather, Annie, Stephanie |
 Cornucopia #2: Fred, Miriam, Leona, Gail |
 Pennywise #1 “Newsboys”: Heather, Karma, Larissa, Rita |
 Pennywise #2: Fyfe, Kittel, Liam, Avery, Robin, Rick |
 Honey Jacks: Angie, Stephen, Shannon, Roy |
 Honey Miners: Luke, Becky, Leah… Alecia |
 Mohawk: Phelan, Darryl, Mona, Rosanne |
 Village of Kaslo: Kellie, Suzan, Laura, Rob |
Funspiel draw
Game 1: Normal scoring.
Game 2: Skill was absolutely no help with ends won by random criteria drawn after the end was played. e.g. most rocks NOT in the house wins.
But everyone was a winner because….
Generous donations from the community meant the prize table looked great!
There were 40 prizes for the curlers (4 per team), as well as:
- Best-dressed team (large basket): Honey Miners
- Best-dressed team runner-up (Angry Hen growlers): Pennywise #1 “Newsboys”
- Hog piggy-bank winner: Rita Rasmussen
- Best-dressed individual drawn randomly from candidates (small basket): Stephanie Leathwood
- Best-dressed individual candidates: Darryl, Miriam, Phelan, Suzan, Stephanie, Annie, Kellie, Stephen
